Abstract: Storytelling is one of the oldest and richest sources in language teaching and learning. This chapter provides a review of different researchers’ investigation on how storytelling enhances the language skills in the field of communication. Innovation is an idea that is replicable at an economical cost that satisfies a particular need. It involves meticulous application of creativity and initiative in acquiring the output with new ideas that brings good results. The language learning is successful when it enhances the learners to identify themselves with that of the native speakers of that particular language and adopt various aspects like pronunciation and gesture of the target language. In order to obtain the native speakers level of competency storytelling is one of the important tools in achieving excellence in communication. The review on storytelling suggests that oral storytelling aids learning language effectively and developed positive attitude towards English language learning for the one who participated and practiced regularly.
